How to load a PDF planner on a Kobo Elipsa
To put a PDF planner on a Kobo Elipsa 2E, drag the file onto the KOBOeReader drive over USB, or put it in the Rakuten Kobo folder of a linked Dropbox or Google Drive and sync. It opens from My Books, and you can write on the page with the Kobo Stylus.
Steps
- Copy it over USB. Connect the Elipsa to your computer, tap Connect, drag the PDF onto the KOBOeReader drive, then eject it.
- Or use Dropbox. Link Dropbox at kobo.com/dropbox, put the PDF in Apps, Rakuten Kobo, then sync the Elipsa.
- Or use Google Drive. Link Google Drive at kobo.com/googledrive, put the PDF in the Rakuten Kobo folder, then sync. This needs software 4.37 or later.
- Write on it. Open the planner from My Books and write anywhere on the page with the Kobo Stylus.
Good to know
- Over USB, the PDF can go anywhere on the KOBOeReader drive; it does not need a special folder.
- You can write on any PDF without DRM, and the strokes are saved into the PDF.
- Kobo does not support selecting or highlighting text in PDFs. Kobo's help pages do not say whether links inside a PDF open, so check with the free January sample before you buy.
